Recycling Tip of the Day:Transform Your Coffee Can or Container
The big Folgers red coffee container is perfect for this project. After all the coffee was used, i washed the container out along with the top really well.I then made my own baby wipes, using a wonderful recipe from my favorite website http://www.budget101.com/household-tips-n-tricks/homemade-baby-wipes-1677.html and I had my own baby wipes with container.I then decorated the container using the Decoupage method.I took some pretty wrapping paper tore it into enough pieces to cover the outside of the container, used a small paint brush to cover the outside of the container with glue, stuck the pieces of wrapping paper around the outside container and used the Decoupage method to paint on over the paper.I will never buy wipes again!

Recycling Tip Of The Day: Save Your Large Plastic Laundry Detergent Bottle
When you are done with your large plastic laundry detergent container cut the top off of it so that it has a wide open mouth.Rinse out the inside really well.Put holes in the bottom of it and now you can use it as a toy scooper for your child's toys in the bathtub. When you need to clean up all the toys from your child's bathtime use it to scoop them up from the water and you're done.Ta-da!You can paint the outside of it with fabric paint if you want to make it a certain color or design.
Recycling Tip Of The Day: Don't Throw Away The Cereal Box
This can be a fun project to do with the kids or just for yourself!Turn the empty cereal box into a book or magazine holder.First, starting at the middle of the box on the side, cut upwards until you get to the opposite tip of the box.You should have a straight angle from the left top corner to the right side of the box or other way around. Then make sure you cut the other side to match.Once you have it cut you can paint the outside to your liking(spray paint, fabric paint) or use scrapbooking paper in a neat design to wrap the outside of the box and\or inside using tape (like you are wrapping a gift box). When you are done,if you have used the wrapping method, paint over the paper all on the inside and\or outside with a mixture of half elmers glue and half water. This will make a clear sheen to the paper and will preserve it for wear and tear once it dries.Have fun!

Recycling Tip Of The Day:Re-use Your Laundry Detergent Cup
Here are a few ideas for re-using your plastic laundry detergent cup.(Usually mine is the good sized one from Tide or Arm and Hammer).#1. They make a great cup to hold your child's water for watercolor painting.#2. Great for a pet food scooper.#3. Makes an excellent paint cup for your arts and crafts.#4. You can even give them to your children to use for digging in the sand or catching lizards or bugs in.
Mom/Organizing Tip Of The Day: Keep A Binder Of Magazine Articles Handy
Have you ever looked thru a magazine and found some type of really useful tip, recipe or article only to forget about it the next day?Tear or cut out the page or article from the magazine, slip it into a sheet protector and put it into a binder.I keep a binder of magazine articles, helpful tips and how-to's handy for reference.I seperate them by categories such as: Home Improvements, Pet Care, Cleaning, Recipes, etc. That way I know exactly where to find an article on whatever I need to work on.
Let Me Introduce My Blog:
Okay all you moms of the free world, if you're anything like me then you are searching for some advice or just some helpful tips to get you through momhood. That's what brought you here, right?Welcome to my blog where I hope to help other moms and myself in sharing thoughts, ideas, tips, or just some needed talk time.Family life can get so hectic and chaotic that you wonder how you will make it through to the next day, not to mention hour, feeling like you have at least accomplished one neat task for the day.I am one of those moms that could sit for hours and think up all kinds of neat, creative stuff to make or do.Then I return back from dreamland to the reality of being a homeschooling mom of three and trying to run a household that looks remotely normal and I lose the energy to make all those thoughts come alive. So I hope to pass all of my creative thoughts onto other moms that might find them useful.Enjoy!
$ Frugal Tip Of The Day : The Library For Free Entertainment
This is the best place for free entertainment for the kids and yourself. It is a treasure mine of movie rentals, music rentals and of course books. Most libraries even offer a section of donated books that you can dig thru. So instead of having to spend money on buying the kids some books, let them choose from the donation section and take home books that they find from there instead of spending a fortune on new ones.We make a day of going to the library to rent movies and books. They really look forward to being able to find some to take home and keep. They actually have a great selection of movies as well.So visit your local library!
